Ultimate Staffing Services is actively seeking an experienced HR Generalist to join a dynamic team in Washington. This role is essential in supporting and enhancing the HR functions within the organization, focusing on recruiting, onboarding, employee relations, and compliance. The HR Generalist will ensure that HR practices are carried out efficiently and align with company standards and values.
Responsibilities
- Partner with hiring managers to identify personnel needs and develop detailed and compliant job descriptions.
- Organize and coordinate the recruiting process, including creating ads, managing online postings, scheduling interviews, administering assessments, extending offers, and preparing new hire paperwork.
- Organize and implement the onboarding process for new hires, presenting and explaining benefit offerings, and providing employees with a welcoming and inclusive experience.
- Assess potential candidates for fit within positions, considering skills, education, competency, and culture alignment.
- Provide employee relations support for employees and managers, including resolving issues.
- Facilitate the scheduled performance review process, providing guidance, tools, and training for managers and employees.
- Develop and deliver various HR trainings, including open enrollment, performance evaluations, and HR best practices.
- Assist in 403(b) and benefits enrollment administration.
- Provide HR reports as needed.
- Maintain current working knowledge of compliance and regulatory concerns, and best HR practices.
- Participate in continuous HR improvement initiatives and metrics.
- Maintain confidentiality and accurate HR files.
- Handle other HR duties, as needed.
Qualifications
- Degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Human Resources, or related field preferred, PHR or SPHR a plus
- At least three to five years of related experience required.
- Knowledge of federal, state and local employment laws and regulations
- Knowledge of principles and best practices for recruitment and selection
- Excellent listening, verbal, and written communication skills with employees and all levels of management; able to create a working environment of open communication and trust.
- Highly detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills and multi-tasking abilities
- Ability to confidentially manage HR and medical related information and demonstrate ethical and professional conduct at all times
- Proven ability to partner with executive leadership to provide expertise on HR initiatives
- Proficiency with HRIS systems - PAYCOM
- 3-5 years experience in a HR position required
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- Bilingual English and Spanish a PLUS!
Required Work Hours
Monday - Friday, 8AM-5PM

The salary for this position ranges from $75,000 - $90,000 annually - depending on experience.
