Logistics Operations Specialist, Onsite Client Support

Ultimate Staffing is partnering with a growing 3rd Party Logistics company to find a Logistics Specialist to work onsite with their largest client to provide white glove, dedicated support. Candidates must have experience working within the freight brokerage industry.

Job Title: Logistics Operations Specialist

Location: Tallassee, AL area- onsite only

Status: Temp to Hire

Schedule: Mon - Fri 8 am to 5 pm

Compensation: Around $65-70k total comp year one ($50-55k base pay monthly bonus)

Overview:

· Understand the processes, documentation, and terminology involved in the transportation industry.

· Coordinate customer shipment requests and assign/dispatch carriers to loads utilizing the Transportation Management System (TMS) and other resources.

· Responsible for dispatching, routing, and tracking of all domestic transportation modes.

· Provide customer rate quotes and negotiate rates with carriers daily. Must be able to make decisions on behalf of the client.

· Follow specific customer requirements on a by customer basis.

· Apply industry knowledge and critical thinking skills to daily responsibilities.

· Build great relationships with customers, responding timely and following up on issues until resolved.

· Collaborate in a work environment where we can learn and improve processes among all departments.

· Contribute to other projects and initiatives as needed.

Requirements:

· Associates or Bachelors Degree preferred but not required.

· Minimum of a High School Diploma

· 2 years of Freight Brokerage experience.

· 3 years of Customer Account Management/Order Entry experience.

· Industry experience is a plus.

· Strong Computer skills.

· Experience with CRMs and Excel is a plus.
