Position Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Project Accountant to support our operations in Moundridge, KS. This role is critical to ensuring financial accuracy across our manufacturing projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounts receivable, accounts payable, general ledger reconciliations, and aging collections, with prior experience in a manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Handle full-cycle accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) for project-related transactions.
Perform general ledger (GL) reconciliations and ensure timely resolution of discrepancies.
Monitor and manage aging reports, proactively following up on overdue balances and driving collections.
Prepare accurate and timely financial reports related to ongoing manufacturing projects.
Support month-end and year-end close processes specific to project accounting.
Collaborate with project managers and manufacturing teams to align budgets and expenditures.
Maintain audit-ready records and ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards.
Qualifications:
Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.
Minimum 2 years of accounting experience in a manufacturing environment required.
Strong understanding of AR/AP processes, GL reconciliations, and collections strategies.
Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
High attention to detail, strong analytical skills, and effective communication abilities.
