Job Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented Quality Assurance Specialist to support our quality assurance and administrative operations in Foothill Ranch, CA.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in quality control and excellent organizational skills. The following responsibilities are key to this role:
- Parts Management: Order, label, log, and organize parts, including images within the master parts library.
- First Article Inspection & Evaluation: Conduct initial inspections of incoming parts to ensure compliance with quality standards (training provided).
- Document & Process Control: Assist in creating, distributing, and maintaining controlled documents, packaging instructions, and procedural documentation.
- RGA Processing: Manage and process Return Goods Authorization (RGA) requests for customers and vendors.
- AutoCAD LT (a plus): Perform simple drawings, revisions, and reviews (training available for eager learners).
In addition to quality control responsibilities, this role will also provide administrative support to the team, including:
: Route invoices, billing, order confirmations, and regulatory documents, ensuring timely follow-ups. - Purchasing & Expense Tracking: Order office and operational supplies, track inventory, process expense reports, and coordinate team orders.
- Shipping & Logistics: Initiate and follow up on UPS/FedEx shipments, ensuring proper billing and coordination of domestic/international shipments.
- Customer & Vendor Communication: Monitor email and phone lines, responding to inquiries professionally.
- Vendor Coordination: Schedule and communicate with outside vendors or contractors for quotes and service appointments.
- General Support: Assist with various assignments and duties as needed.
To be successful in this role, you will need to possess:
- Education: Associate degree required; BS degree preferred.
- Experience: Minimum 3 years of quality assurance experience.
- Technical Skills: Familiarity with basic inspection tools, proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word), and experience with business-related software.
- Soft Skills: Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
