Job Summary: Direct Hire Placement
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Loan Servicing Representative to join our team. This position plays a key role in the administrative functions associated with loan servicing-from preparation through closing-ensuring accuracy, compliance, and top-tier service to both internal and external clients. Responsibilities include conducting loan file audits, entering and maintaining data in the core system, reconciling accounts, and monitoring loan-related documentation such as insurance and tax requirements.
Located in the Bethesda/Rockville area.
Monday-Friday 9am-5pm
IN OFFICE-No hybrid or remote work available
Pay-Up to $70K depending on experience
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and distribute tax, insurance breach, and NSF letters.
- Initiate and maintain loan set-ups for new, renewed, and modified loans.
- Provide responsive assistance for loan servicing inquiries related to payments, transactions, account questions, and error resolution.
- Conduct thorough file audits and documentation reviews.
- Act as a notary for satisfactions and other official loan documents.
- Monitor insurance compliance, particularly flood insurance, and manage disbursements for escrowed loans.
- Assist in scanning and digitizing daily loan tickets.
- Maintain accurate tracking of error resolutions, information requests, and required document retention.
- Review loan reports, including delinquent tax, tax service, and flood certification reports.
- Provide support to fellow team members as needed and assist in departmental functions.
- Stay current with changes to internal policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications:
- Strong understanding of mortgage lending processes, loan servicing policies, and relevant regulatory compliance.
- Ability to handle complex financial decisions and perform detailed audits.
- Experience in handling customer inquiries and delivering solutions in a professional and timely manner.
- Solid accounting skills and ability to conduct financial analysis.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and Word.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Bachelor's degree in business or related field preferred; equivalent experience (8 years) in loan servicing or mortgage lending accepted in lieu of degree.
- Minimum 4 years of direct experience in mortgage or loan servicing required.
