Our client in Fountain Valley, CA is seeking a Vendor Risk and Compliance Specialist to join their team.
About the Role:
In this role, you will manage vendor compliance, conduct security assessments, and monitor vendor risks. Your responsibilities will ensure vendors meet regulatory standards, comply with contracts, and maintain secure practices.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct monthly vendor compliance reviews, request vendor records, and ensure any compliance issues are addressed.
- Manage vendor security assessments and ensure proper documentation is up-to-date.
- Review certificates of insurance and manage access to the Vendor Risk system.
- Review and assign vendor-related engagements, gather required documents for new vendor assignments, acquisitions, or mergers.
- Monitor and assess cybersecurity threats and track vendor financial risks or legal issues.
Requirements:
- At least 3 years of experience in vendor risk management, compliance, or information security.
- Bachelor's Degree in Business, Risk Management, Information Security, or a related field.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- Excellent communication skills for working with vendors and internal teams.
- Familiarity with compliance regulations and cybersecurity best practices.
