Full Time Receptionist

Monday-Friday; 6:55am Start Time

$20.00/hour

Job Objective: Provides general office support with a variety of clerical activities and related tasks. Will be responsible for answering incoming calls, directing calls to appropriate departments, greeting visitors and guests and mail distribution.

Essential Job Functions: The essential functions of the job include, but are not limited to, the following:

  1. Answers telephones and directs the caller to the appropriate department; will transfer a caller to a voice mailbox when the employee is not available.
  2. Will take and retrieve messages for employees.
  3. Greets and directs visitors to the company; maintain visitor log.
  4. Provides callers with information such as company address, directors to the various company locations, company fax numbers, website address and other related information.
  5. Receives, sorts and forwards incoming mail.
  6. Assists in the ordering, receiving, stocking and distribution of office supplies.
  7. May also assist with other related clerical duties such as photocopying, faxing, filing and collating.
  8. Enter approved invoicing in inventory database system for location.
  9. Assist/code track third party invoices.
  10. Coordinate employee fruit purchase program; distribute to employees upon delivery.
  11. Ensure all regulatory certificates (USDA, business license) are current and properly posted.
  12. Participate in fire drill/safety procedures.
  13. Other duties and projects as assigned or required.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  1. Ability to perform the essential functions of the position.
  2. HS degree or GED required.
  3. One year of relevant experience in a similar position; previous experience in customer service is preferred.
  4. Working knowledge of PC skills in MS Office.
  5. Excellent communication skills both verbal and in writing; bi-lingual (English and Spanish is required).
  6. Demonstrated organization skills.
  7. Ability to prioritize and multi-task projects and assignments.
  8. Works effectively with all levels of the organization.
  9. Possess excellent inter personnel skills, demonstrate dependability.
  10. Commitment to the company's values and ethics.
