Key Responsibilities
Market Expansion & Opportunity Identification
- Identify and analyze new business opportunities, market trends, and customer needs within the fabrication, materials, and manufacturing sectors.
- Develop targeted strategies to penetrate new markets and expand the company's presence.
- Client Relationship Management
- Build and nurture strong relationships with key clients, industry influencers, and strategic partners.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, addressing inquiries, providing tailored solutions, and ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.
- Collaborate with the sales and marketing teams to create and implement effective go-to-market strategies and campaigns.
- Develop proposals, presentations, and business cases to secure new contracts and partnerships.
- Attend industry conferences, trade shows, and networking events to promote the company and generate leads.
- Work closely with product development, operations, and fabrication teams to ensure that client requirements are met and products/services are continuously improved.
- Leverage firsthand experience in manufacturing facilities to provide practical insights and feedback for process and product improvements.
- Provide market feedback and insights to guide product innovation and strategic planning.
- Financial & Performance Management:
- Develop and manage business development budgets and forecast revenue growth.
- Track, analyze, and report on key performance metrics to measure success and refine strategies.
- Lead contract negotiations, ensuring that agreements meet company objectives while delivering value to clients.
- Oversee the closing of deals and transition clients to the operational team for successful implementation.
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Materials Science, or a related field. An MBA or advanced degree is a plus.
- 5 years of experience in business development, sales, or marketing, with a focus on fabrication, materials, or related industries.
- Demonstrated experience working in or with manufacturing facilities.
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets and growing market share.
- In-depth understanding of fabrication processes, materials engineering, and industry standards.
- Familiarity with manufacturing operations and the competitive landscape within the fabrication and materials sectors.
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements and best practices within manufacturing environments.
Exceptional communication and presentation skills, both verbal and written.
Ability to build trust and rapport with a diverse range of stakeholders.
Analytical & Strategic Thinking
