Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled Die Maker to join our manufacturing team. This role is responsible for designing, building, repairing, and maintaining dies for production equipment.
The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in die making and machining processes and an eye for precision and quality.
Key Responsibilities
- Craft and assemble new dies based on specifications, blueprints, and technical drawings.
- Inspect, repair, and maintain existing dies to ensure continued, efficient operation.
- Diagnose and resolve issues with dies to minimize production downtime.
- Use a variety of precision tools and machinery to achieve exact measurements and specifications.
- Work closely with production and engineering teams to understand project requirements and timelines.
- Record maintenance, repairs, and design modifications in an organized manner for tracking and reference.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED; additional vocational or technical training in die making or machining is preferred.
- Minimum 3 years of experience as a Die Maker or in a related role.
Skills
- Proficiency in reading blueprints and technical drawings
- Strong understanding of machining and manufacturing processes
- Strong attention to detail, problem-solving abilities, and team-oriented mindset.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift and move heavy objects (up to 50 pounds).
- Extended periods of standing, kneeling, and working in a manufacturing environment.
- Ability to operate and handle tools and machinery safely and effectively.
