Job Description
Position Description:
- Budget & Financial Management: Develop and manage project budgets, estimates, and forecasts to ensure execution aligns with cost and revenue expectations. Maintain accurate revenue recognition, invoicing, funding, gross margins, cash flow, and risk assessments.
- Cost Monitoring & Analysis: Monitor costs weekly to ensure alignment with budgets and proper account charging. Investigate variances, perform cost analysis using Earned Value Management (EVM) techniques, and implement corrective actions as needed.
- Financial Reporting: Prepare and deliver internal and external financial reports, including monthly financial status updates, EACs, funding reports, and executive reviews. Ensure timely submission of invoices to customers and resolution of unbilled expenses or write-offs.
- Contract & Schedule Oversight: Incorporate contractual changes into control systems to maintain accurate cost and schedule baselines. Collaborate with program teams to develop, update, and status schedules as required.
- Budgeting & Planning: Develop Work Breakdown Structures (WBS), time-phased budgets, schedules, and Estimate to Completes (ETCs), providing detailed analyses and recommendations.
- Proposal & Pricing Support: Serve as a proposal pricing analyst and contribute to new business opportunities.
- Contract Deliverables: Prepare financial contract data requirements lists (CDRLs) for timely delivery.
- Internal Reviews: Prepare program review month end presentations for management and leadership.
- Project Closeout: Oversee project closeout activities, ensuring all financial and administrative tasks are completed.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or a related field or equivalent experience.
- 3 years of project cost accounting experience on government contracts with exposure to DCMA and FARS
- This position requires a "U.S. person," which includes U.S. citizens, lawful permanent residents, or individuals with refugee or asylee status.
Desired Skills and Qualifications:
- Knowledge of earned value management and scheduling tools
- Experience with project cost accounting systems and processes
- Knowledge of Deltek Costpoint ERP Systems and related tools
