At Ultra-Poly Corporation, we are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Plastics Quality Assurance (QA) Technician to perform various physical properties tests on finished compounds and plastic raw materials. This role is critical in ensuring the manufacture of high-quality plastic products.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform physical properties tests on finished compounds and plastic raw materials according to standardized procedures.
- Operate testing and processing equipment as per internal guidelines.
- Communicate effectively with manufacturing departments to ensure seamless operations.
- Maintain accurate records and logs related to QA office activities.
- Set up and operate analytical and processing/converting equipment for sample preparation processes.
- Evaluate samples from production to ensure product meets customer specifications.
- Report results and findings promptly through email updates and internal QA interface system.
- Understand product names, critical tests, and release criteria.
- Communicate pertinent information to QA supervisor and other employees as needed.
- Interact with production, packing, and logistics departments as required.
- Perform troubleshooting and issue maintenance work orders as necessary.
Requirements and Qualifications:
- High School diploma preferred.
- Proficient in MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).
- Detail-oriented with prior related plastics mechanical testing experience.
- Understanding of basic mechanical processes and machine operation preferred.
- 2 years of experience in fast-paced, time-sensitive process manufacturing industry preferred.
- Ability to perform basic mathematical testing calculations.
- Ability to read and follow manuals and procedures.
Physical Demands:
- Lift, push, or pull up to 50 pounds.
- Standing for extended periods.
- Lift, throw, bend, squat, twist, and reach.
- Work in both hot and cold conditions.
Job Requirements:
- Be 18 years or older.
- Must be able to read, write, and speak English.
- Eligible to work in the United States without a visa sponsorship.
- Must pass a pre-employment background screening, physical, and drug screen.
- Dependable and excellent attendance required.
