Job Summary :
This position will be responsible for processing controlled documentation for the organization and documenting processes required for the organization to follow for manufacturing products in compliance with ISO 9001 : 2015. This position will be responsible that the appropriate approval is obtained for any change requested of controlled documents. Additionally, this position will support and update documentation through product change and engineering change systems.
Essential Functions
Responsible for all aspects of controlled drawings and documents to include; creation (prototype or production), change (revision levels), originals (assurance of no duplication), and document obsolescence and archive. This also includes forms, and reference copies of controlled documents posted or maintained in a local vault or Data Management System. This includes, but is not limited to :
Updating Word / Excel documents to include Document Change Requests.
Scanning drawings / Documents
Document Filing or electronic archiving
Filling out and filing Document Control forms, including Temporary Change Notices, Quality Alerts, Process Work Instructions, Drawings, etc.
Distribution and tracking of Controlled Documents.
Making copies of drawings and documents for distribution.
Understanding of BOM structures for new part number assignments and updating ERP Systems.
Maintenance of revision levels in Syspro and maintenances of the Document Control Database including : document release dates, revision levels, referenced documents, BOM structuring, and input of new stock codes.
Assisting the Drafting Department as needed.
Other duties as assigned.
Education / Training / Skills / Experience :
High School diploma with applicable experience.
Experience with Microsoft Excel, Word and Access databases with ability to create / write well documented procedures.
Must have a general knowledge of ISO requirements and working knowledge of those requirements as they pertain to document / record control.
Experience with Product Data Management as applicable to BOM, ERP, SolidWorks, Autodesk Inventor, and AutoCAD software preferred.
Ability to learn database management software and utilize to maximum efficiency.
Excellent communication skills.
Highly organized and task oriented.
Ability to handle multiple priorities simultaneously.
