The Maintenance Lead is responsible for the day-to-day preventative and reactive maintenance submitted via the online work order system, emails, and/or direct instructions.
The Maintenance Lead acts as a working team leader for the maintenance staff, delegating, supervising, directing, completing, and scheduling the work of the department. Must also communicate and coordinate with vendors and outside contractors as required. Primary responsibilities include the hands-on maintenance of the facilities, inside and outside work, in all types of weather. Medium to heavy work.
Key Duties & Responsibilities:
- Motivate, manage, train, provide performance feedback and assign duties of direct reports to ensure productivity, efficiency, and effectiveness.
- Plan, Schedule and Execute maintenance workload leveraging the online work order system.
- Understand the needs of submitted work orders using critical thinking to diagnose and troubleshoot.
- Identify required materials as needed and maintain organization of maintenance inventory.
- Positive collaboration with the supervisors of facilities to support the operations.
Minimum Requirements:
- 2 years leading and participating in small maintenance work crew
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to interact with all levels of the organization
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, including the ability to deal with ambiguity
- Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite
- Demonstrated proficiency in electrical fundamentals and applications (high voltage 220 3 phase to 5volt DC, ability to read schematics, replace electrical parts as needed)
- Understanding of mechanical, hydraulic and plumbing fundamentals (compressed air, water)
