Decision Making Authority : General Superintendent for geotechnical construction, must possess the ability to change the direction, methodology and timeliness of the project on multiple levels. Stopping work, personnel and direction of job to ensure it is meeting timeliness and profitability indexes while adhering to safety protocols. To be successful in the position you much have overseeing soil nail wall, chemical grouting, drilled shafts, micro piles, shotcrete, etc.
TO APPLY : YOU MUST, have experience in the installation and overseeing soil nail wall, chemical grouting, drilled shafts, micro piles, shotcrete, along with other related specialized geotechnical construction projects.
Position Overview : Responsible for ensuring jobs are completed in a manner that will meet profitability expectations, safety and quality control guidelines. Responsible for job completion : executing job in a safe manner, driving continuous improvement, innovation and flexibility on meaningful job metrics. Position requires a variety of duties associated with the management of jobs equipment, and safety enforcement.
Position Accountabilities, Responsibilities and Essential Functions
Position requires close collaboration with : Vice President, Superintendents, Field Engineers / Assistant Project Manager, Field Personnel, Estimating and Design Team, Client Project Managers.
Significant Job Duties :
o Job Completion in a safe, controlled and profitable manner.
- How things get done :
o Drilling technique implementation.
o Equipment modification to effectively complete job in safe manner
o Adhering to scheduling measurable and timelines. Costs in the field.
o Teamwork, collaboration with field personnel, job planning, communicating changes and experiences of work to avoid confusion.
o Utilization of techniques and continuous improvement processes and procedures.
o Training of personnel and safety compliance.
o Adherence to legal, compliance, appropriate accreditation guidelines and organizational policies / procedures.
o Ensure continuing education of applicable techniques and equipment that can be utilized in future endeavors.
1. 60% Supervise All Field Superintendents and Crews
2. 25% Collaborate with Management, Engineering Project Managers
3. 10 % Equipment Management
4. 5% Safety Management
Essential Skills, Experience and Expertise :
Physical Demands and Work Environment :
Work is primarily performed in an outside field setting. Work involves numerous irregularities in schedules and extended hours.
Special Position Requirements –
Travel : Potentially in excess of 75%; dictated by job locations
