Job Title : Geotechnical Construction Superintendent
Accountable to : General Superintendent
Department : Operations Group
FLSA Status : Full Time Exempt
Employees under their Direct Supervision : Foreman, Field Technicians
Standard Office Hours : Monday-Friday 8 am to 5 pm and other times as needed to reach goals or job duties.
Decision Making Authority : Responsible for the best interests of the company and its clients using allocated budgets for assigned jobs. Approval from the General Superintendent is required for specific matters as outlined in policies and procedures. The Superintendent is accountable for the field management of all jobsite activities under their direction, including equipment, work planning, client interface, and subordinate employee management.
Position Overview : Responsible for ensuring the completion of jobs in a manner that meets profitability / budget expectations while adhering to safety and quality control guidelines. Responsible for job execution : ensuring safe completion of jobs, meeting job specifications, demonstrating innovation and flexibility in achieving meaningful job metrics. The position entails a variety of duties related to job, equipment, and safety management.
Position Accountabilities, Responsibilities and Essential Functions :
The position requires close collaboration with the General Superintendent, Project Manager, Assistant Project Manager, and President. Interaction with client project managers, client foremen, and third-party quality control is also essential.

Essential Skills, Experience, and Expertise :
Physical Demands and Work Environment :
Work is primarily conducted in an outdoor / field setting with irregular schedules and potential overtime. High levels of interaction with internal and external individuals are required. Travel within the service area is necessary, with mileage from home dictated by job location. Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines while maintaining a professional demeanor. Physical activities may include sitting, standing, walking, stooping, climbing, pulling, lifting, and using phones, computers, software, and office equipment. Temperature ranges from 0°F to 100°F during tasks, with noise levels typical of field environments. Hazardous conditions or chemical exposure should be referred to SDS sheets.
Special Position Requirements –
Travel : Potentially exceeding 95% as determined by job location. Appropriate attire for the work environment is required.
Must have 5-8 years of drilling experience.
