Job Overview:
We are seeking a Quality Supervisor to join our team. The Quality Supervisor will oversee quality control operations on the plant floor, ensuring compliance with company and regulatory standards while addressing customer concerns. This role involves supervising quality personnel, implementing quality processes, and driving continuous improvement to maintain product consistency and efficiency.
Duties:
- Supervise and coordinate quality team members in inspecting and testing assembled components.
- Review quality assurance procedures, production schedules, and assembly specifications to guide inspection processes.
- Direct workers in quality inspections to meet company and regulatory standards.
- Collaborate with production, engineering, and management teams to resolve quality-related issues.
- Train plant personnel on quality procedures and ensure compliance with standards.
- Investigate quality issues and implement solutions for process improvement.
- Develop and coordinate quality control programs to enhance manufacturing reliability.
- Oversee laboratory personnel in performing routine and specialized testing procedures.
- Maintain compliance with company SOPs, customer requirements, and federal regulations.
- Support pre-production, launch, and production processes at customer assembly plants.
- Manage the containment of defective parts and track cost status.
- Support warranty, JD Power activities, and Production Trial Run (PTR) processes.
- Develop quality documents, including control plans, process flows, and FMEAs.
- Utilize continuous improvement and cost reduction strategies.
Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years of experience in manufacturing quality control.
- Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Willingness to work extended hours, weekends, holidays, and alternating shifts.
- Ability to travel between the plant and customer locations.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with AQP, PPAP, Control Plans, and PFMEA.
- Knowledge of measurement systems and FARO CAM2Q software.
- 3 to 5 years of experience in automotive or manufacturing quality.
- Background in ISO/TS compliance, internal/customer audits.
- Familiarity with assembly processes, sequencing, and equipment principles.
- Proficiency in using calipers, micrometers, and other measurement tools.
- Supervisory experience, preferably in a unionized environment.
Job Type: Contract
Pay: $27.31 - $31.18 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
- Day shift
- Monday to Friday
