Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled Sr. Monitoring Application Support Analyst with expertise in Splunk and Dynatrace to join our team. This role involves working with various business and technical teams to develop and implement comprehensive monitoring solutions. You will not be required to develop applications but should possess a strong understanding of application architectures and the ability to build effective monitoring setups.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitoring Solution Implementation: Roll out and configure strategic monitoring tools (Splunk and Dynatrace) across banking APS applications and various environments, including cloud and containers.
- Subject Matter Expert: Act as a subject matter expert for monitoring tools, contributing to global monitoring strategies and best practices.
- Tool Adoption and Training: Host demonstrations, training sessions, and create support materials (presentations, operational manuals) to drive tool adoption across teams.
- Collaboration and Consultation: Collaborate with APS teams to plan and schedule monitoring deployments, and assist in configuring monitoring events and dashboards to enhance tool utilization.
- Reporting and Metrics: Prepare and present reports on monitoring tool adoption, performance metrics, and other relevant data points.
- Global Strategy Participation: Engage in global discussions to advance and evolve the global monitoring strategy.
- Experience: 4 years of hands-on experience with Splunk and Dynatrace.
- Monitoring Solutions: Proven experience in designing and building monitoring solutions with these tools.
- Application Understanding: Ability to comprehend how different application components interact, including middleware, system software, and hardware.
- Technical Skills:
- Experience with monitoring tools such as Dynatrace, Tivoli, Splunk, SiteScope, or Catchpoint.
- Familiarity with cloud and container infrastructure monitoring.
- Knowledge of OS (Windows/Unix) services, processing, and shell scripting.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Java and/or .NET.
- Experience in application/network performance and availability monitoring.
- Architecture Experience: 2 years of experience in development or architecture of multi-tiered business applications and 5 years in production systems architecting/support roles.
- ITIL Knowledge: Understanding of ITIL functions and processes.
- Communication: Excellent communication skills with the ability to network and influence across multiple levels.
- Personal Attributes: Self-motivated, hands-on, strategic thinker with the ability to link business context to technical solutions.
- SRE Experience: Experience working with Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) teams.
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
- Proven experience in development and/or support of banking applications.
- Experience in Major Incident Management.
- Experience in large, multi-data center enterprise environments.
Salary : $60 - $65
