Accounts Payable Analyst

Overview: The Accounts Payable Analyst plays a critical role in financial operations, ensuring that all invoices and payments are processed accurately and efficiently. Key Responsibilities

• Review and verify invoices and check requests.
• Sort and distribute incoming payments and invoices.
• Perform payment processing and reconciliation tasks accurately and timely.
• Maintain accurate records and support all audits related to accounts payable.
• Ensure proper authorization of all expenses in accordance with company policies.
• Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies proactively.
• Communicate effectively with vendors regarding payment inquiries and disputes.
• Assist in month-end closing activities related to accounts payable.
• Support the financial forecasting and budgeting processes.
• Participate in the improvement of AP processing efficiencies and best practices.
• Prepare and review financial reports related to accounts payable metrics.
• Assist in implementing software solutions for automated AP processes.
• Maintain the vendor database accurately and ensure compliance with tax regulations.
• Collaborate with other departments to streamline accounts payable workflows.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 2 years of experience in accounts payable or general accounting.
• Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems.
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills for data analysis.
• Knowledge of GAAP and accounting principles.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in work.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
• Knowledge of tax compliance and regulatory requirements.
• Experience with payment processing systems.
