The Equipment Operator II plays a vital role in the successful execution of operations across various projects by skillfully operating heavy machinery and equipment. Key Responsibilities

  • Operate heavy machinery and equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Conduct routine inspections of equipment to identify issues.
  • Perform preventive maintenance on machinery to ensure optimal operation.
  • Follow all safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a hazard-free environment.
  • Collaborate with team members to coordinate workflow and improve efficiency.
  • Load and unload materials as necessary for operations.
  • Maintain accurate records of equipment usage and maintenance performed.
  • Assist in training new operators on machinery operation and safety procedures.
  • Monitor equipment performance and report any malfunctions to supervisors.
  • Adhere to industry regulations and company policies at all times.
  • Participate in site cleanup and organization of materials post-operation.
  • Utilize hand and power tools effectively in conjunction with machinery.
  • Interpret blueprints and project specifications as required.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area.
  • Demonstrate mechanical aptitude to troubleshoot basic equipment issues.

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Valid operator’s license or certification in heavy machinery operation.
  • Minimum of 2 years experience operating heavy equipment.
  • Strong understanding of safety protocols in a construction or industrial setting.
  • Basic mechanical knowledge of equipment systems.
  • Ability to read blueprints and technical documents.
  • Experience maintaining and troubleshooting machinery.
  • Physically fit and able to perform heavy lifting on a regular basis.
  • Excellent communication skills to coordinate with team members.
  • Proficient in basic math and measurement skills.
  • Commitment to continuous training and development.
  • Ability to work in varying weather conditions and environments.
  • Experience in a construction, manufacturing, or similar setting preferred.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to act quickly.
  • Knowledge of environmental regulations as they pertain to equipment use.
