Job Description
- The client seeks a dedicated Application Laboratory Technician to join our Care R&D Lab in Charlotte, NC.
- This role involves conducting tests across fabric and dish care product categories to support product development and quality initiatives.
- Perform tests on washing machines, dryers, and dishwashers according to industry standards.
- Instrument products following test protocols.
- Order necessary test materials (e.g., detergent, test clothes).
- Collaborate with development engineers to optimize test procedures and improve cleaning and drying performance.
- Collect and summarize test data.
- Prioritize and organize work to meet deadlines.
- Communicate key observations and suggest improvements.
- Set up and conduct tests according to the client standards.
- Complete performance testing to verify product specifications.
- Use electronic methods to record and format test data.
- Accurately document data and test setups on electronic datasheets.
- Utilize MS Excel extensively to plot and evaluate raw data.
- Diagnose test failures and propose solutions.
- Understand and maintain testing standards and data sheets.
- Review, maintain, and update documentation to reflect current practices.
- Operate, calibrate, test, and maintain basic lab equipment.
- Maintain and organize laboratory supplies, fixtures, tools, and equipment.
- Minimum of an associate degree in a scientific, mathematical, or technical field or equivalent Lab experience
- Familiarity with laboratory equipment, data acquisition, testing procedures, and data analysis methods.
- Proficiency in MS Excel.
- Experience with MATLAB and LabVIEW is a plus.
