Role Summary
Support the company in all aspects of tooling and fixture needs for machines and job processes. Maintain and prepare all tools, fixtures, inspection equipment, sketches, and tool lists for operators as needed, to maintain production, while ensuring the production of compliant parts, per planning and blueprint needs, maintaining quality, cost, and delivery requirements.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

- Maintain inventory of tools, and inspection tools while checking all for damage, or out of calibration, and assist operators in all set up requirements.
- Read and interpret technical sketches and drawings
- Working knowledge of quality standards, part protection, and preservation methods
- Inspect fixtures and tools for damage and corrosion and have repaired as needed
- Work with operators and engineering on troubleshooting programs and tooling requirements
- Work with outside Calibration facilities to maintain equipment and tools to meet calibration requirements per AS9100.
- Work with outside Vendors managing Vendor Managed Tools and Supplies.
- Create purchase orders for shop supplies, or machine maintenance parts
- Participate in 5s and lean manufacturing
- Work with all departments and operators in trouble shooting machine, fixture, tooling problems, and inspection equipment.
- Responsible for maintaining a clean and safe work environment
Requirements

Education/Experience
- High school diploma, general education degree (GED), or completion of manufacturing-related vocational training
- 1 to 3 years manufacturing-related experience
- Or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Computer Skills
- Proficient in Excel, Word, and Outlook
- Knowledge of Dynamics 365

- Read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.

This position is in a standard manufacturing environment. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is exposed to moving mechanical equipment. The noise levels in the work environment are frequently moderate to loud. Safety glasses and safety shoes are required throughout the shop floor and hearing protection is recommended, with the exception of certain manufacturing areas, which require hearing protection at all times.
While performing the duties of this position the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, climb/balance/kneel, reach, talk, and hear. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 35 pounds, with assistance. The employee may be required to work in loud environments. Employee may be required to wear personal protective equipment for extended periods of time. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, focus adjustment.
