We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Direct Support Professional to join our team. In this role, you will provide essential support and assistance to individuals with disabilities, seniors, and those requiring memory care. Your primary focus will be to enhance the quality of life for those you serve by promoting independence and encouraging participation in daily activities. This position requires a commitment to fostering a safe and supportive environment while ensuring the well-being of clients.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, meal preparation, and medication management.
• Provide companionship and engage clients in meaningful conversations and activities to promote social interaction.
• Support individuals with disabilities or autism in developing life skills and achieving personal goals.
• Implement individualized care plans tailored to each client’s needs and preferences.
• Maintain a clean and safe living environment for clients, ensuring all areas are tidy and organized.
• Monitor client health and report any changes or concerns to appropriate healthcare professionals.
• Provide first aid as needed and ensure that all safety protocols are followed during care activities.
• Collaborate with family members, healthcare providers, and other team members to ensure comprehensive care.

Experience
Ideal candidates will possess the following skills:

• Experience in home health or senior care settings is preferred.
• Familiarity with memory care practices and working with individuals with disabilities or autism is a plus.
• Knowledge of first aid procedures is beneficial for ensuring client safety.
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with clients and their families.
• Ability to perform light cleaning duties as part of maintaining a healthy living environment for clients.
• A background in nursing or related fields can enhance your effectiveness in this role.

Pay: $16.32 - $18.77 per hour
