General Laborer/Machine Operator

Job Description:

Del Medical, a leading provider of innovative medical imaging solutions, is seeking a dedicated and motivated Fabrication Shop General Laborer (Sheet Metal) to join our dynamic team. This position plays a crucial role in supporting our fabrication process, ensuring the efficient and safe production of high-quality medical imaging products.

Responsibilities:

• Safely handle and transport raw materials within the fabrication shop.
• Organize materials for easy accessibility by fabricators.
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace, ensuring a safe and efficient working environment.
• Assist in routine maintenance tasks for equipment and tools.
• Support fabricators by transporting materials and holding components during assembly.
• Assist in measuring and cutting materials, preparing workpieces for welding.
• Operate basic machinery, such as saws, grinders, and drills, under the guidance of skilled fabricators.
• Inspect fabricated parts for quality, checking measurements, and ensuring products meet specifications.
• Safely load and unload materials and finished products from trucks, preventing damage.
• Work closely with fabricators to assemble components or products according to specifications.
• Collect and dispose of waste and scrap materials in accordance with company guidelines.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience in a similar role within a fabrication or manufacturing environment is preferred.
• Basic knowledge of safety procedures and material handling.
• Ability to operate basic tools and machinery.
• Good communication skills and the ability to work well within a team.
• Physical fitness and the ability to lift and move heavy materials.

Pay: $17.00 - $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 – 50 per week
