Summary
We are currently seeking a skilled Sheet Metal Grinder to join our team at UMG / DEL MEDICAL, Inc. This position is critical in supporting our mission to deliver high-quality healthcare technology solutions. The ideal candidate will have experience in sheet metal fabrication and a passion for contributing to the healthcare industry.
Responsibilities
- Fabricate and assemble sheet metal components according to specifications.
- Utilize plasma cutting, CNC machinery, and laser cutting tools for precision work.
- Perform quality checks using precision measuring instruments to ensure accuracy.
- Maintain equipment and tools in good working condition to ensure safety and efficiency.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to develop prototypes and improve existing designs.
- Follow safety protocols while operating hand tools and machinery.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Reading and interpreting blueprints a plus
- Safely grind sheet metal precision parts, using Angle grinders and Belt sanders, according to blueprint
- Determine product specifications such as dimensions, grain directions and tolerances.
- Use proper wheel guards and safety procedures while operating all grinding machines
- Monitor machines during operation
