Position Overview:
As the Supply Chain Manager at Del Medical, you will play a critical role in optimizing and managing our end-to-end supply chain operations. This hands-on, leadership position offers the opportunity to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and make a significant impact on our operations. You will oversee key functions such as procurement, inventory management, logistics, and production coordination, ensuring that our products are delivered efficiently and cost-effectively while maintaining the highest industry standards.
We are looking for someone who thrives in a “roll-up-your-sleeves” role, with experience managing buyers, issuing work orders to the production floor, and managing the Bill of Materials (BOM) structure.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic Planning & Coordination: Develop and execute supply chain strategies to meet Del Medical’s production goals. Collaborate with cross-functional teams (engineering, production, and sales) to align supply chain activities with company objectives.
- Supplier Management & Procurement: Build and maintain relationships with suppliers, negotiate contracts, monitor supplier performance, and drive improvements to ensure cost-effective and reliable sourcing.
- Inventory Management & Optimization: Oversee inventory levels, ensure accurate forecasting, and implement inventory control systems to maintain stock levels while minimizing costs.
- Logistics & Distribution: Manage logistics operations to ensure timely, cost-effective delivery of materials and finished products. Optimize warehouse operations for accuracy and efficiency.
- Work Order & BOM Management: Issue work orders to the production floor, oversee BOM structure management, and ensure seamless alignment between production schedules and inventory levels.
- Quality & Compliance: Ensure all supply chain activities meet ISO 13485, FDA, and other industry standards. Work closely with the quality team to resolve supplier-related issues.
- Risk Management & Problem Resolution: Identify potential supply chain risks and develop contingency plans. Address disruptions swiftly to minimize impact on production.
- Cost Management & Efficiency: Monitor supply chain costs, identify areas for improvement, and lead cost-saving initiatives to increase operational efficiency.
- Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing supply chain team. Manage the team of buyers, fostering a collaborative and continuous improvement culture.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Experience: 5 years of experience in supply chain management, preferably in the medical device or healthcare industry.
- Skills & Proficiency:
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics, GP, or equivalent ERP systems.
- Expertise in Microsoft Excel (advanced functions such as pivot tables, v-lookups, etc.) and database management.
- Proven ability in data mining and experience in database conversions is a plus.
- Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- In-depth understanding of procurement, logistics, and inventory management processes.
- Certifications: Supply Chain certifications (e.g., APICS, ISM) are a plus.
- Regulatory Knowledge: Familiarity with ISO 13485, FDA regulations, and good manufacturing practices (GMP).
