About the Role:
A Level II accounts payable specialist is responsible for reviewing and processing invoices including calculating, posting, and verifying financial data. They perform accounts payable functions in an automated system. This role involves research and analysis.
- Transfer Accounts Payable (A/P) invoices from Basware to PeopleSoft system
- Review invoices received from branches and departments in Basware
- Review Accounts Payable (A/P) expense reports from Emburse to PeopleSoft system
- Process A/P check run
- Post General Ledger (GL) entries to PeopleSoft system
- Assist branches and departments with A/P inquiries
- Provide assistance to corporate accounting department staff as needed
- Back up the duties of the Accounts Payable III position as needed

- Demonstrates compliance with all bank regulations for assigned job function and applies to designated job responsibilities – knowledge may be gained through coursework and on-the-job training. Keeps up to date on regulation changes.
- Follows all Bank policies and procedures, compliance regulations, and completes all required annual or job-specific training.
- Maintain a working knowledge of Bank's written policies and procedures regarding Bank Secrecy Act, Regulation CC, Regulation E, Bank Security, and other regulations as applicable to this job description.
- May be asked to coach, mentor, or train others and teach coursework as subject matter expert.
- Actively learns, demonstrates, and fosters the Umpqua corporate culture in all actions and words.

About You:
- H.S. Diploma or GED required.
- Associate's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, or equivalent experience required.
- 2-4 years of experience in accounts payable or equivalent required.
- Knowledge of office procedures and equipment with proficiency with ten-key
- Proficient computer skills and experience using Microsoft Office software including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint
- Well-developed analytical, interpersonal, and written and verbal communication skills`
- Ability to effectively manage time to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- Strong attention to detail with proven analytical skills.
Workstyle: Fully onsite.

The pay range for this role is $18.00 to $26.00, and the pay rate for the selected candidate is dependent upon a variety of non-discriminatory factors including, but not limited to, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience, education, and geographic location. The role may be eligible for performance-based incentive compensation and those details will be provided during the recruitment process.
