About the Role:
The loan syndication officer is responsible for managing the process of syndicating commercial banking facilities, including a review of the structure and pricing, identifying potential investors, managing borrower expectations, producing bank books and other distribution materials, tracking the process once it is started, and reporting on performance going forward.
- Manage all facets of the syndication in conjunction with the commercial account officer and credit administration
- Oversee sold syndication activity and reporting
- Prepare and provide reporting to executive management and the Bank’s regulators on the Bank’s syndicated activities (purchased and sold)
- Collaborate with the Bank’s credit administration, legal counsel, account officers, and unit managers in setting expectations, structuring deals, and communicating with borrowers
- Draft offering memoranda, proposals, and financial presentations detailing client and transaction-related fundamental information, including merits, risks, and risk mitigation
- Serve as a point of contact for investors during and after the syndication process
- Assist in the planning, management, and tracking for bank meetings and related events
- Actively source loan market data and maintain a database of comparable transactions and competitors
- Promote business for the Bank by maintaining strong, effective relations with investor banks and making referrals to the appropriate internal business partner when necessary.
- Assume responsibility for special projects, gather data, and prepare reports for management, auditors, and other interested parties
- Complete administrative tasks accurately and in a timely manner
- Demonstrates compliance with all bank regulations for assigned job function and applies to designated job responsibilities – knowledge may be gained through coursework and on-the-job training. Keeps up to date on regulation changes.
- Follows all Bank policies and procedures, compliance regulations, and completes all required annual or job-specific training.
- Maintain a working knowledge of Bank's written policies and procedures regarding Bank Secrecy Act, Regulation CC, Regulation E, Bank Security and other regulations as applicable to this job description.
- May be asked to coach, mentor, or train others and teach coursework as subject matter expert.

About You:
- College degree in Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Accounting, Finance, Business or equivalent work experience (required)
- 3 year of work experience in commercial banking or other comparable analytical work with two years in loan syndications (Required)
- 2 years of work experience in syndications (Required)
- Advanced skills to effectively communicate and facilitate discussions, and negotiate deals with professionals at a high level within internal and external organizations
- Advanced knowledge of related state and federal lending and compliance laws, rules, and regulations.
- Advanced knowledge of the the Bank’s lending policies
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail in preparing reports and documentation
- Strong project management skills to handle multiple tasks and projects simultaneously
- Strong analytical skills to assess and structure complex financial transactions
- Advanced proficiency with personal computers and related software packages such as Word and Excel, and other business machines.Basic computer skills

We offer a competitive total rewards package including base wages and comprehensive benefits. The pay range for this role is $98,000.00 - $175,000.00 and the pay rate for the selected candidate is dependent upon a variety of non-discriminatory factors including, but not limited to, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience, education, and geographic location. The role may be eligible for performance-based incentive compensation and those details will be provided during the recruitment process.
