As a Full-Time Exempt Athletic Promotions Coordinator, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of communications, marketing, and digital presence within the athletics department at Umpqua Community College. This position combines the duties of a Sports Information Director, Sports Marketing Director, and Digital Strategy Coordinator, with a focus on promoting the college’s athletic programs, increasing fan engagement and attendance, managing media relations, and creating a cohesive digital strategy. The ideal candidate will be a creative, proactive individual with a passion for sports and a strong understanding of digital media, sports marketing, and public relations. Additionally, this role may possibly include minimal teaching responsibilities, coaching assignments, and other duties as assigned by the Director of Athletics and Events.

Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, Sports Management, or a related field.
- At least 2 years of experience in sports information, marketing, public relations, or digital strategy, preferably in a collegiate athletics environment.
- Strong writing, editing, and communication skills, with the ability to craft engaging content for various platforms.
- Experience with social media platforms, content management systems, and analytics tools.
- Knowledge of sports media relations, marketing strategies, and fan engagement techniques.
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, Microsoft Office, and video editing software.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, during the sports season.
- Experience with live streaming and video production for athletic events.
- Familiarity with web design and content management systems.
- Previous experience working in a junior college or NCAA athletic department.
- Experience teaching or coaching at the collegiate level.
