Are you a strategic and hands-on marketing leader ready to make an impact? We’re looking for a talented Marketing Manager to drive high-impact campaigns across a variety of traditional and digital channels. You’ll help oversee marketing, advertising, public relations, and communications efforts, while leading a team of 2-3 direct reports, operating in an in-house agency model. Reporting directly to the Chief Marketing Officer, you’ll have the opportunity to both lead and roll up your sleeves, contributing creatively while guiding the direction of initiatives for multiple business units. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES :
Strategic Planning & Growth | Lead the development and execution of strategic marketing plans that drive brand growth, increase market share, and align with overall business goals for Michigan First brands.Cross-Functional Collaboration | Partner with leadership across departments to ensure marketing initiatives are integrated, meet objectives, and deliver cohesive messaging across all channels.Website & Digital Experience Oversight | Manage the Michigan First websites, ensuring they are consistently updated, user-friendly, and optimized for accessibility. Oversee SEO, SEM strategies, and implement interactive lead generation programs to maximize web traffic and conversions.Social Media Strategy & Reporting | Oversee and manage both paid and organic social media campaigns, ensuring consistent brand messaging and analyzing campaign performance to drive engagement and ROI.Data-Driven Insights | Analyze web, email, and digital tool analytics to measure campaign effectiveness, make data-driven decisions, and continuously optimize marketing efforts.Market Research & Competitive Analysis | Conduct ongoing research on industry trends, competitor activities, and consumer behavior to identify emerging market opportunities and refine marketing strategies.Brand & Identity Management | Ensure consistent and effective use of Michigan First’s corporate branding guidelines across all internal and external marketing materials.Customer Feedback & Survey Analysis | Collaborate on the development and deployment of member surveys, analyze feedback, and provide actionable insights to drive improvements in member engagement and satisfaction.Campaign Development | Lead the creation of advertising and promotional campaigns, from concept to execution, including writing copy, developing headlines, and collaborating with an in-house designer to produce compelling materials.Budget Management & ROI Optimization | Assist in the creation of the marketing budget, ensuring the efficient allocation of resources and tracking of return on investment for all campaigns and initiatives.Culture Advocacy & Brand Ambassadorship | Serve as a champion of The Michigan First Way, embodying our core values and service promises in all interactions with team members and members. Advocate for the "ISMs" and apply the Every Member’s Experience Counts (EMEC) philosophy in all communications.LEADERSHIP RESPONSIBILITIES :
Carry out leadership responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Bachelor’s degree in marketing, advertising, public relations, communications or a related field.Proven leadership experience in managing and developing a high-performing marketing team, with a strong ability to mentor, motivate, and coach.Experience with email marketing platforms and CMS systems to create and optimize campaigns.Expertise in managing digital marketing channels , including website management, social media, and advertising campaigns—encompassing content creation, campaign development, segmentation, goal setting, and reporting.Exceptional communication skills , with proficiency in writing, editing, and verbal communication.Strong organizational skills , capable of handling multiple projects while meeting deadlines.Attention to detail and problem-solving skills to drive results.Creativity and innovation , with the ability to develop new ideas and present them persuasively to gain support.Experience with vendor management , including contract negotiation and media buying.Proven ability to manage relationships with third-party vendors, such as external agencies, designers, and print / mail vendors.Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite is a plus.Experience with marketing analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, HubSpot) to track, measure, and optimize campaigns for maximum impact.Understanding of member journey mapping , using insights to enhance the member experience across all touchpoints and drive engagement, loyalty, and retention within the credit union.Proficiency with marketing automation tools (e.g., HubSpot, Marketo) to nurture leads and deliver personalized, targeted campaigns.Solid understanding of SEO best practices and content strategy to improve website traffic and enhance online visibility.Change management skills , with the ability to guide the team through evolving marketing trends, technologies, and business goals.Experience with paid media platforms (e.g., Google Ads, Facebook Ads, LinkedIn Ads) to drive targeted traffic and measure ROI.Experience with conversion rate optimization (CRO) to improve lead generation and sales through A / B testing, landing page design, and call-to-action strategies.Proficiency with CRM platforms (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot) to track and manage customer interactions, segment audiences, and personalize marketing efforts.Who We Are
