Adulting 101: Life Skills They Don’t Teach in High School: Adulting 101 serves as a great beginner’s guide to cover concepts and information high school students require most to embark on their journey towards self-reliance and future success in the “real world.” Students will leave the program equipped with financial literacy, employability, and decision-making skills. They will engage with community partners to explore civic responsibility, health, wellness, social skills, and personal identity. They will also learn about insurance, cooking, riding public transportation, maintaining a healthy diet, taxes, sewing, effective communication, teamwork, and basic first aid. Each day, students will leave with new applicable knowledge and tangible skills such as changing a tire and filling out a W-2 to aid them in their successful transition to adulthood and beyond!
