What are the responsibilities and job description for the Director, Center for Integrated Care position at UNC Charlotte?
The Center for Integrated Care (CIC) intentionally incorporates social work standards with student affairs principles to serve as the human link between students and resources both on and off campus. Aligned with the Health and Wellbeing unit’s purpose (to instill a culture of holistic health, wellbeing and care), CIC serves as a clinical liaison that assists students by:
- coordinating comprehensive campus and community resources,
- providing direct continuity of care support for students navigating potentially complex elements of their care plan,
- empowering students to initiate change through life skill and personal development,
- encouraging students beyond their comfort zones to ensure their ability to manage their own situations and
- providing follow-up support, including resolution, that positively impacts academic success, retention and the student experience.
The CIC Director will join an interdependent team of departmental directors (counseling &
psychological services, student health, wellness promotion and university recreation) and will
shepherd a small, yet dynamic team strategically positioned to provide student-centered care,
grounded in social work clinical case management standards. In addition to on-campus peers
and colleagues throughout the UNC system, the director will have access to national
organizations including but not limited to the Higher Education Case Managers Association
(HECMA), the American College Health Association (ACHA) and the National Association of

Affairs commitment to strategic planning, the CIC Director will receive the gift of a program
review in consultation with the Student Affairs Research & Assessment (SARA) team; pre-
review beginning in the Fall 2025 semester and program review occurring in 2026-2027. Based
on those findings and aligned with the Director’s vision, resources including staff can be
