POSITION SUMMARY

Performs a variety of specimen collection techniques using standard collection devices. Performs EKGs. Performs Breath Alcohol testing. Performs various other support services for the laboratory as needed.

EDUCATION, CREDENTIALS, TRAINING and EXPERIENCE:

Minimum Required:
-
High school graduate or equivalent.

Incumbent will be required to successfully complete a formal in-house training program for Phlebotomy, to include achieving a passing score on a written examination, within 3 months of hire.

Incumbent will receive on-the-job training to perform EKGs.

Incumbent must attain certification as a Breath Alcohol Technician and Certified in Urine Drug Screen Collection within 3 months of hire.

Each applicant who advances to peer interview will be expected to shadow a phlebotomist for at least four hours prior to final decision.

Certified through ASCP or ASPT upon hire.

Ability to perform EKGs upon hire.

Certified BAT upon hire.
