Responsibilities
- Translates and maintains UNC Health documents and forms into Spanish, for implementation within programs and initiatives.
- Translates various patient documents and communications from English to Spanish and Spanish to English.
- Creates, reviews and edits Community Health marketing materials for Spanish-speaking patients and communities.
- Develops and facilitates Spanish MyChart training sessions and troubleshooting for Spanish Speaking patients.
- Serve as Spanish-speaking Community Liaisons at Community Health internal and community events.
- Other duties as assigned.
Other information:
Education Requirements
- High School diploma or GED
- American Translator Association (ATA) Certification, preferred but not required.
- One (1) year of experience in a translator/interpreter role in a healthcare or human services setting.
