Position Overview:
We are currently seeking a highly skilled and motivated Lab Assistant I with a strong background in Chemistry or Life Sciences to join our laboratory team. The ideal candidate will bring at least 2 years of hands-on laboratory experience, including proficiency with HPLC and GC, and a proven track record preparing and analyzing a wide range of product types, including OTC drugs, pharmaceuticals, cosmetics, dietary supplements, and botanicals.

The ideal candidate will bring at least 2 years of hands-on laboratory experience, including proficiency with HPLC and GC, and a proven track record preparing and analyzing a wide range of product types, including OTC drugs, pharmaceuticals, cosmetics, dietary supplements, and botanicals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare samples of OTC drugs, pharmaceuticals, cosmetics, dietary supplements, and botanical products in accordance with established laboratory methods and standard operating procedures.
- Conduct assays and chemical analyses following validated methodologies.
- Operate a variety of analytical laboratory instruments, including:
- HPLC (High Performance Liquid Chromatography)
- GC (Gas Chromatography)
- IR (Infrared Spectroscopy)
- UV (Ultraviolet Spectroscopy)
- Dissolution Testing Equipment
- Viscometers
- Melting Point Apparatus
- Other standard lab instrumentation as needed.
- Accurately document and report analytical results for review and Quality Assurance.
- Follow established Good Laboratory Practices (GLP) and adhere to lab safety protocols at all times.
- Assist in the routine maintenance and calibration of lab equipment.
- Maintain adequate stock of reagents, standards, and consumables required for testing.
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, or Life Sciences, or a related scientific discipline.
- Minimum of 2 years of laboratory experience, ideally in an analytical, quality control, or R&D setting.
- Hands-on experience operating and troubleshooting HPLC and GC systems.
- Demonstrated ability to run validated methods for routine chemical analyses on various laboratory instruments.
- Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and data accuracy.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Previous work in regulated industries such as pharmaceuticals, nutraceuticals, or cosmetics.
- Familiarity with cGMP, FDA, or ISO requirements.
