Position Summary & Key Areas of Ownership
Leads a team of workers that manufacture products on one of the production lines. This is a working supervisory position.
Core Responsibilities
- Supports all UC Safety Programs and trains on safety as needed.
- Supervise and assist in setup, operation, quality, and sanitation of assigned production line(s).
- Subject Matter Expert and Certified Trainer on assigned line.
- Ensure compliance to Bakery On Main's Policies, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Good Manufacturing Practices, Allergen Programs, Sanitation SOPs and Quality Programs.
- Coaches and motivates the team.
- Accurately complete all required production paperwork and documentation.
- Complete Reasonable Suspicion and Harassment Training.
- Cross trained in all areas of production.
- Good communication skills to work with production, QA, maintenance, and management staff.
- Should have good verbal and written communication skills.
- Other duties as assigned including fill in for Production Manager as needed.
Skills and Requirements
- Expected to learn Basic Good Manufacturing Practices and Hygiene, work instructions for your assigned work area, Sanitation Standard Operating Procedures, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Safety Procedures and Quality at the Source testing and documentation for your assigned work area.
- To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to work independently and as a team player. The right candidate will be able to work efficiently and effectively in all aspects of the position and be available for overtime as needed.
- EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE High school diploma or general education degree (GED), on the job training is offered.
- PHYSICAL DEMANDS Must be able to lift up to 50lbs. This position is in production and could involve any/all of the following physical work conditions for long periods of time throughout the shift:
