Job Overview
The Personal Care Assistant plays a vital role in providing compassionate and supportive care to individuals in various settings, including home community care and medical facilities. This position is essential for assisting clients with daily living activities, promoting their independence, and ensuring their overall well-being. The ideal candidate will have experience in diverse healthcare environments, including behavioral health and trauma centers, and will be dedicated to enhancing the quality of life for those they serve.

Duties

• Assist clients with personal hygiene tasks, including bathing, grooming, and dressing.
• Support clients in daily activities such as meal preparation, medication management, and mobility assistance.
• Monitor and record vital signs as needed to ensure the health and safety of clients.
• Provide companionship and emotional support to clients, fostering a positive environment.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans.
• Maintain a clean and safe living environment for clients by performing light housekeeping duties.
• Assist with transportation to appointments or social activities as required.

Skills

• Experience in home community care settings is preferred.
• Familiarity with Level I and Level II Trauma Centers is advantageous.
• Knowledge of behavioral health practices and medical-surgical care is beneficial.
• Ability to work effectively with individuals with developmental disabilities.
• Experience in medical office environments is a plus.
• Proficient in monitoring vital signs and understanding related systems.
• Strong communication skills to interact effectively with clients, families, and healthcare teams.
• Compassionate nature with a commitment to providing high-quality personal care.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $14.00 per hour
