What are the responsibilities and job description for the Operations Coordinator position at UND Aerospace Foundation?
The Operations Coordinator will assist with administrative and operations management duties associated with the UND Aerospace Foundation Flight Training program. The Operations Coordinator will utilize current and to-be-determined Aviation Information Management Systems to assist in the logistics and management of 40 aircraft, 70 flight instructors, and 400 students. Prior experience in aviation is not required, but preferred. Individual must be self-motivated and report to the Chief Flight Instructor.
Employee and Student Coordination Tasks:
· Create and review student/employee schedules participating in managing operational efficiency.
· Generate and analyze operational information to identify efficiencies and communicate those to Flight Operations Management.
· Regularly monitor and review student training status and instructor load levels.
· Review student performance information and communicate findings to assist the Lead Flight Instructor team with appropriate adjustments to schedules and student assignments.
· Monitor and review student and employee activities ensuring proper customer service and efficiency.
· Facilitate communication between management and students/employees.
Regulatory and Timeline Compliance Tasks:
· Monitor training schedules, timelines, aircraft utilization, and student performance to improve overall company performance.
· Review student training records.
· Monitor and analyze instructor performance data and 141 inspection compliance such as pass percentages, briefing times, and number of record corrections per instructor.
· Assist with regulatory procedures.
· Monitor employee regulatory requirements and communicate findings.
· Analyze data to determine if students/instructors should be flagged for off-pace performance.
· Work with the Chief Flight Instructor and Assistant Chief Flight Instructors to determine and set performance milestones for specific flight courses and contracts.
Other Tasks:
· Assist with international student arrival and departure logistics.
· Promote and participate with safety management using the UNDAF Safety Management System (SMS).
· Assist with monthly Canvas reconciliation.
· Communicate with other UNDAF departments as appropriate.
· Provide feedback for the improvement of any aspect of UNDAF Operations.
· Assist in the performance of other duties as assigned.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $40,000.00 per year
