We are hiring a Buyer to support our Purchasing team in Rogersville, MO. The Buyer will procure materials that support production by obtaining quotes and pricing while ensuring timely delivery of materials. This role is a key contributor to the Purchasing Continuous Improvement (PCI) initiative to improve RealTruck’s productivity and margins.
Core Functions
- Obtain quotes, pricing and delivery information, calculate material requirements, order quantities, expedite raw materials, and maintain inventory levels
- Procure materials that support production requirements and new products launches ensuring timely deliveries of the proper material
- Manage purchase orders to ensure correct costing, quantity, and delivery rates through company software, investigate variances
- Conduct continuous search for better total value that yields the best combination or price, quality and delivery
- identify waste and drive improvements throughout the supply chain, identify new suppliers as needed
- Work closely across operations on current and new product development, operational requirements, and meeting customer needs.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a business related field preferred
- 2 years of purchasing related experience
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- Experience with ERP Software
Required Licenses
Purchasing Certification (CPM / SPSM) is a plus.
Skills and Abilities
ERP purchase order system experience is a plus.
Strong proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint a must for competitive analysis, commodity market indexes and sourcing requirements.
Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community.
Ability to understand contracts and negotiations to pricing strategies.
Write, speak and comprehend English.
Ability to add, subtracts, multiply, and divides in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, & ratio.
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

- Occasional travel may be required
Physical Requirements
This position is subject to sedentary work; exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time. Walking and standing are required only occasionally.

Salary : $51,000 - $64,500
