What are the responsibilities and job description for the Senior Promos & Retention Associate position at Underdog Sports?
About the role and why it’s unique:
- Develop, execute, and optimize retention strategies for customer engagement across all four verticals.
- Analyze customer behavior and campaign data to continuously refine retention and promotional strategies.
- Use SQL to query data, create reports, and drive actionable insights to enhance retention efforts.
- Collaborate with managers to ensure the success of targeted campaigns, tent pole events, and sportsbook customer journeys.
- Provide mentorship and guidance to junior team members, sharing best practices and supporting their growth.
- Take part in cross-functional initiatives to refine customer journeys, reactivation campaigns, and overall retention strategies.
Who you are:
- 1-3 years of experience in retention or marketing, ideally within the sportsbook or gaming industry.
- Possess strong SQL skills and can confidently use it to analyze customer data and report on campaign performance.
- Understand the importance of a personalized customer journey and know how to develop strategies that foster long-term engagement.
- Ability to work cross-functionally and collaborate with other teams to execute campaigns.
- Self-starter who can balance both strategic planning and hands-on execution.
Even better if you have:
- Experience with retention platforms like Optimove or Braze.
- Familiarity with data reporting tools like Looker or Sigma.
- Experience in customer engagement strategies for sports fans and gaming products.
Our target starting base salary range for this position is between $81,000 and $92,000, plus target equity. The starting base salary will depend on a number of factors including the candidate’s skills and experience, among other things.
