Job Summary
As an Area Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing multiple Foreman and their crews. You will manage multiple underground and aerial projects from large telecommunication companies. You will travel to job sites around the NE Ohio territory and evaluate the work being done for quality, operational efficiency, profitability, and customer satisfaction.
Candidates must have management level telecommunications experience.
Experience working with AT&T preferred, but experience with other large telecom companies will be accepted.
This is a salaried position; you may be on-call nights and weekends
Responsibilities
Responsible for managing all employees of the NE Ohio territory in both the office and shop.
Manage and supervise a team of Foreman and their crews of Laborers for both underground and aerial fiber installation.
Responsible for scheduling all jobs in the territory.
Responsible for communication with the customer and inspectors
Responsible to manage outside subcontractors
Ability to keep crews on schedule and solve any problems that they may encounter
Ability to organizing materials, equipment, and labor.
Responsible for providing all required job reporting and processing invoices.
Experience with and responsible for assuring Ohio Utilities Protection Services (O.U.P.S.)- OHIO811 is contacted, and jobs are marked before underground work is started
Working knowledge of telecommunications industry, engineering work prints, ability to understand and interpret construction documents.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Computer skills, including Microsoft Office.
Flexible and work under pressure to meet assigned deadlines.
Detail oriented w/ strong problem-solving skills.
Ability to occasionally lift 50 lbs.
Occasional overnight travel required.
Must have earned high-school diploma or equivalent.
Must have valid driver's license and clean record. CDL-A is a plus.
Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
