Property Manager Job Description
Job Summary:
The Property Manager has the full responsibility of managing daily oversight and operations of the commercial portfolio (industrial and office properties). This position’s primary function is to streamline necessary property management tasks, maximize asset value, ensure the portfolios are operating in line with the owner’s goals and objectives, and tenant satisfaction. This position will be tasked with overseeing the current property management team and will help drive operations across the commercial real estate portfolio. This role will not be assigned to a specific property, but will serve as a key liaison between property management, asset management, leasing, accounting, and other internal departments. The ideal candidate will be a hands-on-leader with a background in commercial property operations, financial oversight, and team development.
Job Functions include:
- Provide guidance and support to the property management team, ensuring efficient and effective operations across all managed assets
- Serve as the primary liaison between property management and other key internal departments, including asset management, accounting, and leasing, to align objectives and optimize portfolio performance.
- Develop and implement best practices, standard operating procedures, and strategic initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and tenant satisfaction.
- Oversee financial performance, budgeting, and reporting for property management operations, ensuring alignment with company goals.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and best practices.
- Review budgets prepared by the property management team and ensure they are entered in the system correctly.
- Coordinate with the property management team to ensure CAM estimates are properly entered in accordance with the updated budgets.
- Coordinate with property management to ensure CAM reconciliations are completed in a timely manner at year end.
- Review lease agreements before they are sent out for renewals or new prospective tenants
- Setting up new properties in yardi - Setting up the property, suites, tenants, deposits, contacts, etc.
- Preparing the accounting pre-close and post-close files for property managers at month end.
- Ensure budget vs actuals variance comments are addressed accurately by the property management team
- Assist in preparing month / quarter end reporting package for investors, management, and accounting team.
- Assist the property management team with any yardi related items
- Sending tenant accounts to legal or collections when necessary.
- Review lease expirations and ensure they are being handled appropriately.
- Liaison with asset management and accounting in the acquisition / disposition of an asset.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $80,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
