An Internal Fulfillment Specialist is responsible for accurately locating, retrieving specific parts from a warehouse inventory based on orders, performing quality checks, and promptly delivering those parts to designated areas within the facility, ensuring timely and efficient fulfillment of orders while adhering to safety protocols.
Key Responsibilities:
Order Picking:
- Accurately locate and retrieve requested parts from warehouse shelves using pick lists or computer systems.
- Verify part numbers, quantity, and condition against order details.
- Properly package parts to prevent damage during delivery.
- Work on kitting orders to provide components to engineers and technicians for assembly.
Quality Inspection:
- Visually inspect parts for any defects, damage, or signs of wear and tear.
- Report any discrepancies or quality issues to the supervisor.
Delivery and Distribution:
- Deliver parts to designated areas within the facility as per order instructions.
- May utilize carts for larger items.
- Ensure accurate delivery of parts to the correct recipient.
Inventory Management:
- Maintain accurate inventory levels by reporting any stock discrepancies.
- Assist with stock rotation and re-stocking shelves.
- Assist with inventory audits.
- Assist with receiving and storing of purchased items.
Safety Compliance:
- Follow all ESD and safety procedures including proper lifting techniques and wearing appropriate personal protective equipment.
- Report any safety hazards to the supervisor.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Attention to Detail: Ability to accurately identify and pick parts based on detailed order information.
- Physical Ability: Capability to lift and move heavy items regularly.
- Advanced Computer Skills: Ability to use Microsoft Office with heavy use of Excel including data manipulation, filtering, sorting, and formatting. Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) for order picking and inventory tracking.
- Organization Skills: Efficiently manage multiple orders and prioritize tasks.
- Teamwork: Collaborate with other warehouse staff to ensure smooth operations.
Work Environment:
- Primarily in a warehouse setting, which may include exposure to varying temperatures and noise levels.
- May require working in tight spaces and reaching high shelves.
