Inventory Handler I

The Inventory Handler I is based at the South Hackensack, NJ Distribution Center. This position plays a key role in assuring that stock is available and accurate for our Outbound to fulfill sales orders in a timely manner.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Performs Inventory cycle counts and movements across all South Hackensack facilities.
• Maintains stock levels in different buildings based on data provided by the Inventory, Operations, etc.
• Loads and unloads inventory from loading docks, delivery trucks, storage areas, and production areas.
• Assists or performs stock checks / cycle counts as requested.
• Performs product checks / audits, re-labels for order discrepancies.
• Perform inventory transfers / consolidations in Dematic, Carousel, Bulk Positions (as Needed)
• Assists with the review and disposition of all returned items.
• Assists with inventory scrap process.
• Operates various machinery including equipment such as reach trucks, forklifts, box truck and electric pallet jack.
• Puts away all materials staged in processing zones.
• Take on additional responsibilities as assigned

Education/Experience Required

• High school diploma.
• Warehouse, and Inventory control: 2 years (Required).
• Maintains a clean and organized work environment.
• Attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Performs all tasks in a safe manner in accordance with Hytorc Policy

Computer Skills Necessary

• Microsoft Office, SAP, WMS and Dematic is a plus.

Physical Demands/Requirements

• Ability to climb, stand, squat, bend and kneel on floor.
• Able to lift to 75lbs with assistance.
• Occupational Safety & Health Administration (OSHA) forklift certification is a plus.

Work Environment

• Warehouse and office on occasion.
• Work in climates that may be hot without air conditioning.
