General Description / Primary Purpose :
This work consists of coordinating student engagement events and hiring events. The work includes supervising Operations staff responsible for Game Room operations and programming. This work includes managing risk related to event safety plans, cash handling procedures, and departmental and Game Room programs. This work includes supervising the Operations Assistants responsible for departmental social media content, event and facility graphics and signage, photography, and programming support. This work includes supporting facility operations and projects.
Job Description :
Game Room - Percentage Of Time 30 :
- Hire, train, schedule, supervise and provide performance assessments to student OPS team of approximately 15 students.
- Departmental administrator for Webcheckout inventory management system, used to track and check out over 1,000 Game Room items. Departmental administrator for sponsored streaming platform, Twitch, including assisting in developing policies and procedures for usage and managing risk.
- Responsible for semi-annual Game Room inventory counts.
- On-going evaluation of Game Room inventory and collection of student input for identifying items needing replacement, completing purchasing process for new inventory items based on student and student employee feedback.
- Responsible for communicating any technological or troubleshooting issues and concerns in the Game Room space to Information Technology Services.
- Maintains Game Room space and evaluates any repairs or maintenance needs, working with the Operations Coordinator to schedule maintenance work through Physical Facilities or a third-party vendor.
Game Room Programming and Student Engagement - Percentage Of Time 30 :
Responsible for execution of complex Game Room related programming events. Represents the Student Union at student engagement, employment, employee initiatives, and training events across campus.Provides Event Coordinator logistical needs for Game Room related engagement events, including event work orders, vendor vehicle registration and other necessary licensures, and event-related special requests. Responsible for programming stakeholder communication.Responsible for conducting research that focuses on programming trends and generating creative ideas to better engage students in a college campus environment. Securing collaboration opportunities with Student Union building partners.Completes purchasing process for programming elements and items based on student and student employee feedback.Develops new resources and maintains current resources.Completes comprehensive post-event documentation and actions, including reporting assessments, meetings, and updates.Partners with Office of Assessment to analyze student engagement programs and makes program updates based on data analysis.Manages Student Union website and campus-wide communications for programming initiatives.Manages development of graphics, signage, and social media for support of Student Union operations and programs.Manages daily operation of headshot booth, which includes scheduling any routine maintenance needs, monitoring and managing usage requests, and reviewing all content periodically on the schedule set by the department to ensure compliance.Facility Management - Percentage Of Time 25 :
Coordinates with Physical Facilities to maintain Student Union lock schedule, based on changing operating hours.Submits purchase requests for new and replacement items.Ensures routine preventative maintenance and repair of equipment; investigates malfunctions; arranges for repairs, including vendor selection.Coordinates with Property Management office to manage incoming and outgoing inventory, for over 2,000 Student Union items.Responsible for monitoring facility-related work orders for the two (2) Student Union buildings and 11 outdoor spaces affiliated with the department.Develops and manages facility projects, facilitates meetings / walkthroughs to confirm construction logistics with contractors and confirms work completed satisfactorily.Responsible for largescale facility and inventory purchases, including project budget proposal and vendor selection.Partners with ITS department on building technology projects.Risk Management, Health and Safety - Percentage Of Time 15 :
Manages emergency response, in absence of Director and Assistant Director of Operations.Assists with Student Union Emergency Response Plan based on university guidelines, Student Union operations, modifications to the facility, or changes in Building Emergency Coordinator personnel.In collaboration with the Director and Assistant Director of Operations, responsible for Student Union Safety Plan, including collaborating with University Police Department and partnering with Information Technology Services on installation and on-going management of security systems.Responsible for annual meeting of Student Union Building Emergency Coordinators and communicating updates to the Emergency Response Plan.Coordinates with ADA Compliance Office to ensure accessibility requirements are met.Partners with the office of Environmental Health and Safety to research, develop, and implement safety initiatives related to Student Union operations.Responsible for managing Student Union AED units, including testing, monthly inspections and coordinating training.During declared campus emergencies, this position may be required to perform specific job-related duties at a designated off campus location or place of residence.Responsible for department safe, including issuing and deleting safe codes for personnel changes, safe audits, cash box management, and processing departmental deposits according to University guidelines.Responsible for day-to-day operations and managing risk for departmental programs and Game Room space.Responsible for enforcing proper safety guidelines and emergency response processes within the Game Room space, providing safety training to OPS employees on a semesterly basis.Responsible for coordinating safety plans with campus partners and vendors to ensure that risk management guidelines are followed in all student engagement spaces and Student Union programs, addressing but not limited to egress, crowd control, waivers, and safety precautions for approved activities.Please apply using the link below.
