Purpose
Responsible for the prompt repair and ongoing maintenance of more complex material handling equipment issues
Shits are 6am-2:30PM
Essential Functions
Job Responsibilities Percentage
Provide recommendation to repair or replace poorly functioning
equipment. 10%
Efficiently prioritizes repair schedule to ensure an uninterrupted
production schedule 10%
Ensure an adequate inventory of necessary spare parts and materials is
maintained. 10%
Keep management informed of areas activities and of significant
concerns. Report major concerns or significant problems. 10%
Provides quality oversight to lesser experienced Technicians 10%
Manages installation of RF unit and scan guns 10%
Battery Changer Repair 5%
Assist in developing a preventive maintenance schedule 10%
Handles more complex diagnostics and repairs including but not limited
to the following: electrical systems, hydraulic and brake systems. 15%
Perform duties in accordance with Hazard Analysis Critical Control
Points (HACCP) and Safe Quality Food (SQF) policies and procedures, as
appropriate for location 10%
Total 100%

Ability to lift up to 75 pounds and to stand, walk, bend, stoop, twist and turn frequently.

Job Requirements
Education/ Certifications/or Equivalent combination of education training and experience:
- High School Diploma/GED and/or equivalent related experience
- 2-3 years of technical maintenance or related experience/training; or equivalent combination of education, experience
- Certified Material Handling Engineer Mechanic helpful
- 2-4 years of on-the-job experience with electronics and mechanical equipment
- Machining and fabrication experience
- Experience troubleshooting complex equipment / Solid understanding of material handling equipment
- Oral and written communication skills to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance
- Ability to solve practical problems and handle a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited
- Clearly communicate with other employees and build relationships with employees, supervisors/managers, customers,
- Excellent mechanical aptitude
- Ability to work well independently
