What are the responsibilities and job description for the Backhaul Coordinator position at UNFI?

Schedule : Monday through Friday from 9 : 00 AM to 5 : 30 PM
Purpose :
- Responsible for understanding the delivery routes and transportation procedures.
- Essential Functions :
- Calls vendors and confirms order pickups.
- Completes packets with necessary information for drivers.
- Delivers packets to receiving office.
- Completes Incoming Report in a timely manner.
- Collects and processes packets from previous days backhauls.
- Confirms all invoices from previous day.
- Processes DVCR'S and checks against updated / revised schedule.
- Files cover sheets, Daily Recap Report, Daily / Weekly Recap, Monthly Summary.
- Completes a transportation log for upcoming week.
- Keeps area clean and debris out of work area.
- Maintains a safe working environment.
- Informs a supervisor or manager of any discrepancies in paperwork
