**Job Summary:**
Under the direct supervision of the Food & Beverage Manager, the Food & Beverage Banquet Captain supervises all Banquet functions and employees at Unicoi State Park & Lodge. This role involves overseeing and coordinating the setup, service, and breakdown of all Banquet functions. Availability during nights, weekends, and holidays is essential for this position.

**Responsibilities:**
- Receive room function assignments and discuss any last-minute changes.
- Ensure all functions are correctly posted on sign boards at the conference room entrances.
- Check in servers, assign stations, and delegate pre and post-function side work.
- Inspect table place settings, including table linen, china, glass, silverware, and condiments to ensure correct placement, cleanliness, and attractiveness.
- Supervise Servers during functions, ensuring high-standard service to guests.
- Coordinate post-function clean-up, including proper disposal or recovery of leftover food.
- Assist in planning larger events or holidays by assigning setup and guest service responsibilities.
- Conduct server training sessions when needed and develop backup personnel for the Banquet Captain role.
- Maintain communication with guests to ensure their expectations are met.
**Supervisory Responsibilities:**
The Food & Beverage Banquet Captain will supervise a team of 10 - 20 employees in the Banquets Department. Responsibilities include training, work assignment, performance appraisal, conflict resolution, and problem-solving in accordance with organizational policies and laws.
