What are the responsibilities and job description for the Park Services - Grounds Keeper position at Unicoi State Park & Lodge?
This is a Seasonal, part-time position. Must have weekend and holiday availability as needed.
**Job Summary:**
Under the direct supervision of the Park Manager, this position performs a variety of tasks in maintenance and landscape work at Unicoi State Park and Lodge. This position's main focus will be on Grounds Keeper inside the park.

**Responsibilities:**
- Respond to complaints regarding park conditions
- Maintain equipment and tools
- Safely operate vehicles and equipment
- Perform routine inspections and maintenance

- Prune trees and shrubs
- Operate a variety of power equipment
- Clean park facilities
- Prepare terrain, apply fertilizers, seed lawns, and plant shrubs
- Mow lawns, trim shrubs, and clean grounds
- Assist with various maintenance tasks such as spraying trees, making repairs, and installing drain tile

**Education and/or Experience:**
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or three to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
