AWS Cloud Database Engineer
San Antonio, TX (Hybrid)
Long-Term Contract
Rate: $55-60/hr on C2C
Mandatory Skills: Proficiency in SQL server, Always On, PowerShell and Terraform.
We're assisting a client, a prestigious and large investment management company, in their search for a AWS Cloud Database Engineer. This is a long-term contract opportunity based out of San Antonio, TX (Hybrid).
Qualifications:
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
Experience:
- 10 years of SQL server administrator experience.
- Proficiency in SQL server, Always On, PowerShell and Terraform.
- Hands-on experience with Terraform for infrastructure automation.
- Strong PowerShell scripting abilities for automation and troubleshoot/debug existing PowerShell scripts and integration tasks.
Technical Skills:
- Primary: SQL DBA, Always On, PowerShell, AWS (EC2 instances) and Terraform (Extensive experience).
- Secondary: PostgreSQL/Auora PostgreSQL and Oracle RDS.
- Experience with cloud environments (AWS).
- Knowledge of database security best practices and high availability setups for Cloud Environments.
- Understanding/building of the Automation and interact with Application team for troubleshooting and debugging framework issues.
Preferred Qualifications:
- It's good to have cloud platform Certifications (AWS).
- Experience with additional automation tools (DMS, etc) or programming languages (PowerShell).
Responsibilities:
Database Design & Management
- Design and manage highly availability solutions, scalable databases using SQL Server, Always On and Windows Clusters.
- Work collaboratively with the Offshore and Onshore team.
- Focal point of contact between with Customer and Solugenix team on technical/Solution discussions.
- Strong Written/Verbal communication who can deal with customer on daily basis.
Salary : $55 - $60
