Key Responsibilities
- Clinical Leadership:
- Supervise and support licensed therapists, counselors, and other clinical staff.
- Provide clinical supervision and guidance, including case review and crisis management.
- Develop, implement, and evaluate treatment programs and clinical protocols.
- Ensure clinical staff adheres to professional ethical standards and evidence-based practices.
- Facilitate ongoing professional development and training for the clinical team.
- Program Development & Management:
- Oversee the development and delivery of therapeutic programs to address diverse mental health needs, including individual therapy, group therapy, family counseling, and specialized services.
- Ensure the centers clinical services are accessible, effective, and evidence-based.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, community organizations, and stakeholders to enhance service delivery and outcomes.
- Regulatory Compliance & Quality Assurance:
- Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations, accreditation standards, and licensing requirements for mental health services.
- Monitor client care and treatment outcomes to ensure quality standards are met and improve service delivery as needed.
- Lead efforts to maintain and improve the centers accreditation and licensure.
- Client Care & Advocacy:
- Act as a point of escalation for complex or high-risk cases.
- Advocate for the well-being of clients, ensuring appropriate resources and interventions are available.
- Promote a client-centered approach and ensure culturally competent and sensitive care.
- Administrative Oversight:
- Assist with budgeting and financial management for clinical services.
- Participate in hiring, training, and performance evaluations for clinical staff.
- Maintain and oversee documentation practices in accordance with legal, ethical, and organizational standards.
- Collaboration & Communication:
- Foster effective communication and collaboration within the clinical team and with other departments.
- Build strong relationships with community partners, agencies, and organizations.
- Communicate with clients, families, and external stakeholders as needed to coordinate care and support.
- Masters or Doctoral degree in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, or a related field.
- Current, valid licensure (e.g., LPC, LCSW, LMFT, Psychologist) in the state of practice.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in mental health counseling, with at least 3 years in a leadership or supervisory role.
- Strong understanding of mental health disorders, treatment modalities, and evidence-based practices.
- Experience in program development, quality assurance, and regulatory compliance.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively and lead a diverse clinical team.
- Experience in a clinical director or supervisory role within a mental health or counseling setting.
- Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems and clinical documentation standards.
- Knowledge of community mental health resources and services.
- Continuing education and training in clinical supervision, management, and leadership.
